Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti is celebrated on February 19th every year to mark the birth anniversary of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, one of the bravest and most progressive rulers of India and founder of Maratha Empire. Maharashtriya Mandal’s English Medium School, Sadashiv Peth celebrated this day with great pomp and zeal. Students of primary and secondary section attended this program with great enthusiasm. The program began with devotional aarti and garlanding the portrait of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by honourable Principal Mrs Nidhi Samant. Further an
inspirational speech was delivered by one of the primary teachers Mrs Kshitija Kadam followed by traditional performances by our blooming buds which included – dance, powada, laathi-kathi, speeches, shiv garjana and skit. All the performances were extremely good and audience enjoyed a lot. Mrs Samiksha Vaidya, of Primary section and Mrs Aboli Limaye of secondary section did the compering of entire event very nicely. The program was concluded with dhol tasha and Shivstuti.. Overall it was a memorable event for all.
