Guru Purnima Celebration 2025

Honouring our Teachers and Spiritual Guides

Guru Purnima is an auspicious festival dedicated to honouring teachers and spiritual guides—those who lead us toward the right path in life. Our school celebrated this day with immense devotion and great enthusiasm across all sections.

Pre-Primary Section

The celebration in the pre-primary section was filled with joy and learning:

Saraswati Pujan: The event began with ‘Saraswati Pujan,’ where children offered prayers to Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge and wisdom.

Shloka Recitation: Students beautifully recited the sacred shloka: “Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnu, Gurur Devo Maheshwarah, Gurur Sakshaat, Parabrahma, Tasmai shri Gurave Namaha”.

Storytelling: Teachers explained the significance of the day through short stories, which the children enjoyed and listened to attentively.

Learning Values: This special day helped our youngest learners understand the importance of respecting and thanking their teachers.

Primary Section (Std. I – V)

The Primary section organized creative activities to allow students to express their gratitude:

Card Making (Std. I & II): Students created beautiful greeting cards using waste materials like buttons, dried leaves, and flowers, showcasing their unique creativity.

Class Decoration (Std. III – V): Students participated enthusiastically in decorating their classrooms and writing messages on charts that reflected their understanding of spiritual teachings.

Secondary Section (Std. VI – X)

The Secondary section engaged in a house-wise Essay Writing Competition:

Participation: All students from the 6th to 10th standard participated with great enthusiasm.

Topics: Each grade focused on an informative essay about a ‘Marathi Sant’ (Saint):

6th Std: Sant Dnyaneshwar

7th Std: Sant Eknath

8th Std: Sant Tukaram

9th Std: Sant Namdev

10th Std: Sant Meera Bai

Recognition: Students wrote exceptionally well, and three winners were selected from each class to honour their efforts.

The entire celebration served as a wonderful platform for our students to honour individuals who inspire and guide them.
