The Ganpati Festival was celebrated with great devotion and fervour at Maharashtriya Mandal’s English Medium School. The celebration aimed to instil cultural values and spiritual awareness among the students and foster a sense of unity and devotion. The festivities began on 14th September 2026 with Ganesh Chaturthi. The mandap was beautifully decorated with flowers, torans and a colourful rangoli at the entrance, and an idol of Lord Ganesha was placed in the mandap on the school ground. The programme began with lamp lighting and Ganesh Sthapana and Puja performed by our Head Boy
and Head Girl, followed by Ganesh Vandana, aarti songs and the energetic chant of “Ganapati Bappa Morya”. As every year, this year too our Ganpati decoration theme was unique. The theme explained the causes of pollution and their remedies, focusing on everyone’s social responsibility. All the decorations were done by our students and art teachers with great creativity. To emphasize the theme, a thought-provoking street play on ‘Carbon Monster’ was performed by the students of Equality House, spreading awareness about pollution and environmental protection. As a part of the celebration, students from Std. VI to Std. X participated in the Atharvashirsha Pathan, chanting the sacred verses of Lord Ganesha with utmost devotion and discipline. The collective chanting created a peaceful and divine atmosphere on the school campus. Though it was a holiday, all the teachers, school staff and students gathered early in the morning to welcome their beloved Bappa. Our Education Director Mrs. Neha Damle and Principal Mrs. Nidhi Samant ensured that everything was conducted smoothly. The programme concluded on a positive note, seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha for wisdom, knowledge and success. As prasad, chikki was distributed to all, considering its nutritional value and health benefits.
