Cleanliness Day and Gandhi Jayanti were celebrated in our school on 2nd October 2026 to spread awareness about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene and to pay a true tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Instead of observing the day as a mere holiday, our school marks it by teaching and practising the values of selflessness and cleanliness. The classrooms were beautifully decorated with meaningful cleanliness slogans by secondary students to encourage everyone to keep their surroundings clean and hygienic. As a part of the celebration, teachers and students shared valuable information about the importance of cleanliness in daily life. Stories related to cleanliness were told by primary teachers to inspire the students. A Cleanliness Oath was taken by all. For Std. I and II, 5-6 sentences on cleanliness were written by the teacher on the board, and for Std. III to V, students wrote 5-6 lines in their own words, expressing their understanding and commitment towards it. Students made a sincere effort to follow the cleanliness slogan ‘Clean India, Healthy India’. The activity helped students understand the importance of maintaining cleanliness in their daily lives and inspired them to contribute towards a cleaner and healthier environment.
