Rakhi Pournima was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 27th August 2026. Teachers gave information about ‘Narali Pournima’ and ‘Rakhi Pournima’ and told about the rituals of tying a Rakhi. On this day, fishermen offer coconuts to the sea and begin their fishing work. Various sweets made from coconut, such as Narali Barfi, Narali Karanji, and Narali Bhaat, are prepared on this day. Teachers tied Rakhi to the children.
The children enjoyed the celebration and participated in a Rakhi-making activity. The children of Junior and Senior KG made beautiful rakhis with their own tiny hands. The children of Mini KG coloured pictures of rakhis.
They also enjoyed the delicious Narali Barfi.
