Purple Colour Day was celebrated on 12th March 2026 to help children identify and appreciate the colour purple. Purple is a secondary colour made by mixing red and blue.
Purple is a calming yet cheerful colour that represents wisdom, mystery, creativity, magic, and joy. It can be light like lavender or dark like violet. Purple is the colour of grapes, brinjal, flowers, butterflies, balloons, and dresses. It is known as a royal colour – the colour of kings, queens, and fairy tales.
· Teachers showed many purple objects, both natural and artificial.
· School premises was decorated with a purple theme and the bulletin board was beautifully illustrated in purple.
· All children wore purple clothes.
· Students brought healthy snacks of purple colour in their tiffins.
· Children learnt that purple makes us feel like kings, queens, and magical friends.
The day helped children recognize the colour purple in their surroundings and understand its association with royalty, creativity, and magic. Purple is fancy. Purple is fun.
