Celebration Details
National Science Day and Marathi Rajbhasha Gaurav Din were celebrated with great enthusiasm on 27th and 28th February 2026 at MMEMS, Tilak Road, Pune. The dual celebration aimed to honour scientific temper and foster pride in our mother tongue, Marathi.
1. Inauguration & Performances:
· The program commenced on 28th Feb with the inauguration by Mrs. Neha Damle Ma’am, who opened the exhibition by performing an engaging scientific experiment.
· Std. VI & VII students presented the “Marathi Abhiman Geet, marking a beautiful beginning to the language celebration.
· Std. VIII students presented a lively Periodic Table Elements Song, making learning fun and interactive.
· Students enacted the roles of famous scientists and confidently shared information about their contributions.
2.Exhibition & Special Attractions – 28th February:
· A combined Science + Marathi Language Exhibition was organized under the guidance of Mrs. Aboli Limaye and Mrs. Madhura Deshpande.
· Science Section: A variety of creative scientific experiments, activities, and games by students. Special attractions included a Robotics Model and an Ecosystem Display by Nature’s Club students. The highlight was a demonstration of spacecraft launch, which received great appreciation.
· Marathi Section: Language-based games, quizzes on grammar and vocabulary, and knowledge-based stalls set up by students of Std. VI & VII.
· -Std. I & II students added charm by dressing up as scientists, showcasing creativity and confidence.
· Students and parents visited the exhibition and participated actively.
3. Social Awareness:
A meaningful street play on drug abuse was presented by students of Std. VII & VIII, spreading awareness and delivering a strong social message.
The celebration helped students:
– Appreciate scientific thinking, curiosity, and innovation
– Develop pride and love for Marathi as our Rajbhasha
– Understand the importance of social responsibility
